Fetish is one of the greatest alternative bands to come out of South Africa and I was lucky enough to see them play a few times during their heyday. They recently got together again for the first time in 11 years – and it’s as if they were never apart! They’re still one of the best live acts ever to come from our shores and their music is just as relevant today as it was then. The always impressive Matthew van der Want was the opening act and it was a real treat to see him perform again too. Salon 91: If You Let Yourself Love a Wild Thing Launch

These images are from the launch of the If You Let Yourself Love a Wild Thing exhibition at Salon 91 in Kloof Street, Cape Town. This was a group exhibition featuring more than 40 artists, all tasked with creating work somehow related to a ‘green’ theme. In collaboration with GreenPop, for each artwork sold, a tree will be planted.

These images are from the annual airshow at Ysterplaat Airforce Base just outside Cape Town.

Africa Aerospace and Defence 2010 (AAD2010) was held at AFB Ysterplaat from 21 to 25 September, with Friday 24 and Saturday 25 September as public air show days. This year, AAD2010 featured more than 400 exhibitors from at least 25 countries.

This is a music video I did for the now-defunct gothic rock band from Jo’burg, 10 Drops of Valium, while at Varsity in ’95. I directed the shoot, shot some of it and edited it too.

Animation Director Showreel

This is my Animation Director showreel from my time at Clockwork Zoo. We specialised in 2d animation for kids long-form series, with the bulk of our work being for international clients.

My showreel has been featured on strictlyshowreels.com, designfahai.com, cgreelworks.com and tutorial3d.it among others. It was also included in the November coverdisc of Computer Arts Magazine.

All the work seen here was done in ToonBoom Harmony, except the opening and closing titles which were made in Photoshop and After Effects.
